Upcoming Broadcast Schedule - End of September
OK, I promise I will be uploading all my upcoming calendars on my website from here on out. I just went on vacation when I uploaded the first one.
That said, keep an eye out for my first highlight package of the season after a thrilling football game last Friday between #11 Bishop Feehan and #1 Xaverian.
This is quite a big slate for the last week and a half of September.
We begin with the final week of the Minor League Baseball Season begins on Tuesday with the Worcester Red Sox hosting the Durham Bulls at Polar Park with both teams chasing a possible playoff spot! The WooSox have had a great 2nd half and are currently chasing Scranton and Rochester for the final playoff spot in the Triple A East Division, but a lot would have to go right for them to catch either foe including taking down the Rays AAA team in a six game series in Central Mass.
I'll be sprinkling in some calls along that week, including calling a Western MA high school football matchup for MassLive on Thursday night. The Amherst Hurricanes take on the Greenfield Green Wave after both teams opened their 2026 campaigns with wins.
Saturday will feature Merrimack hosting Stonehill in a preseason matchup in Women's Hockey Saturday afternoon. Not much at stake in this matchup, but we'll see what culture new head coach Courtney Kennedy is building in North Andover.
The following week gets a little more crazy with a five game stretch over a four day span beginning Wednesday with Suffolk Men's Soccer facing Emmanuel. It'll be the Rams first home game since their four game road trip began in early September, and it features an opponent that they have not beaten in the last three series meetings
Thursday and Friday is my game, technically series, of the week, something new I'd like to do because it's the matchup I'm most looking forward to in the upcoming stretch I have. It's the opening weekend for Merrimack Women's Ice Hockey as they welcome back Lindenwood for a two game series. This is the third straight season the Warriors will face the Lions in the early season. After MC's preseason tune-up with Stonehill, the real thing will begin for Coach Kennedy in her first season in blue and gold. I love what Merrimack brings back and I think there's some optimism about this team, but we'll see what transcends to the ice when the puck drops. It will be great to share the booth with Matt O'Brien for the third consecutive season.
A soccer doubleheader to follow in East Boston with both Suffolk Soccer teams hosting Hartford. The Lady Rams get a crack at the defending CNE Champions to begin the day at noon followed by the men will host the Hawks in the mid-afternoon window.
The month wraps up with a trip over to BU for the Patriot League Championship rematch as the Terriers Women's Soccer team will take on Army on 9/30. The Lady Black Knights dominated the Terriers in last year's Patriot League Championship at Nickerson last year, so there's a little bit of a revenge factor for BU going into the game. But these are two teams who will be going into this game looking for some momentum as we head into conference play. I will be on the call with BU WSOC Broadcaster Katie Bennert for this championship rematch.
It's great to be back putting the headset back on again and I'm just getting started!
